Last Train from Gun Hill is a 1957 Western, directed by John Sturges and produced by Hal B. Wallis. When marshal Matt Morgan's (Kirk Douglas) wife (Ziva Rodann) is brutally raped and murdered, the only clue to find the killers is an ornate saddle. Morgan immediately recognizes it as belonging to his old friend, cattle baron Craig Belden (Anthony Quinn). Originally believing the saddle was stolen, Morgan confronts Belden only to find out that the saddle now belongs to his son, Rick (Earl Holliman). Protecting his son, Belden refuses to hand him over to Morgan. Undeterred, Morgan vows to capture Rick and bring him to justice. With the help of his former lover, Linda (Carolyn Jones), Morgan is determined to get Rick on the 9:00 o'clock train. As the hours tick by, Morgan faces Belden's men one by one as they are sent to stop him. As the story comes to its dramatic conclusion, Belden and Morgan engage in a battle of wills that will leave only one man standing.moreless
