Latin Dragon is a 2004 film directed by Scott Thomas. The action surrounds a Latino war hero, Danny Silva (Fabian Carrillo), as he returns home to East L.A. and finds that his old neighborhood is overrun by crime. Violent gangs roam the streets and local businesses struggle as they are terrorized by an organized crime outfit led by the corrupt Bishop Thorn (Gary Busey) and his henchman Frank (Lorenzo Lamas). Danny discovers that Thorn is trying to make a profit by controlling the street and is using the gangs to do his dirty work. In response, using his martial art skills and his training as a military assassin, Danny single-handedly takes on the villains and attempts to restore his beloved community. In addition to recovering his town, Danny also deals with the uncertain relationship with his girlfriend and a brother who is a crooked cop working for the gang. This film has non-stop action sequences and promises to deliver the first mainstream Latino martial arts action hero.moreless
