Left Behind: World at War is the second sequel to the popular Christian End Time film series based on the novels of the same name. This chapter loosely covers the last portion of the second novel, "Tribulation Force." Eighteen months have passed since the world experienced its biggest catastrophe, hundreds of millions of people simply disappeared. Now, World Leader Nicolae Carpathia (Gordon Currie) has seemingly brought an end to global conflict and bloodshed. U.S. President Gerald Fitzhugh (Lou Gossett, Jr.) has backed Carpathia, after all his entire life's work has been dedicated to a world in peace. Then an assassination attempt shatters that hope. There's a sinister conspiracy underneath the guise of peace. Fitzhugh must face the prospect of World War III, at a time when America has let down its defenses. Investigative reporter Buck Williams (Kirk Cameron) and his underground Tribulation Force offer their assistance against impossible odds. This 2005 film brings back all the major characters from the first 2 films.
