Legionnaire is an action film about a man trying to escape the wrath of an angry gangster. French boxer Alain (Jean-Claude Van Damme) is forced to take a dive in a fight by gangster Lucien Galgani (Jim Carter). Meanwhile, Katrina (Ana Sofrenovic), Lucien's girlfriend, is the ex-fiancee of Alain who he left at the altar. The two make up and decide to run off to America together. Alain decides to not throw the fight. Just as he and Katrina are about to escape, she is kidnapped by Galgani's men. At the same time, Alain kills Galgani's brother. Desperate to get away from Galgani, Alain signs up for the French Foreign Legion and is shipped off to Morocco. Little does Alain know that Galgani has sent some of his men into the Legion as well, in order to get revenge on him for killing his brother. Alain is forced into the fight of his life.
