Lena's Holiday is a 1991 film about a German woman named Lena (Felicity Waterman). After the Berlin Wall falls, she wastes no time in leaving the country and heading for the United States. She visits Hollywood and the Los Angeles area expecting the time of her life. In reality, things go horribly wrong; her hotel reservations are phony, a cab driver rips her off, and her luggage is switched with a dead lady. On top of that, what she does not know is that a couple of crooks are following her to retrieve her swapped luggage. Along the way Lena meets a nice cab driver named Mike (Chris Lemmon), who helps her in emergency situations. The movie develops their feelings for each other, and they begin falling in love. Michael Keusch directs this romantic comedy of a young woman only wanting to vacation in California, while several mishaps bring her closer to an unexpected lover.
