Les Paul - Chasing Sound! is a 2007 documentary film. The late Les Paul is considered to be the Godfather of the electric guitar. During his career, he invented such current electric guitar staples as multi-track recording, overdubbing, reverb and echo. This documentary follows the 90 year-old Les Paul as he plays his regular Monday night gig at a local club. During interviews, Les Paul recalls his life and adventures, recounting his work with other legendary recording artists like Bing Crosby and Mary Ford, Les Paul's wife. Paul tells the story of his rise to greatness, beginning with his early studies with jazz great Django Reinhardt, and continuing through his own career as a hit recording artist. Paul is not the only one who describes his impact on modern music, as other respected industry professionals recount how he influenced their own careers. Numerous clips from old recordings and television shows, along with personal photographs, help to tell the life story of this music great.moreless
