Let's Scare Jessica to Death is the terrifying 1971 horror classic from co-writer/director John D. Hancock (Prancer, California Dreaming). Jessica (Zohra Lampert) is a woman who has been recently released from an institution after a major mental breakdown. To help with her recovery, her husband (Barton Heyman) and his best friend (Kevin O'Connor) drive her out to a remote area of the Connecticut countryside so she can rest and relax. They rent a spooky looking house on the outskirts of a small rural town to get away from all the stress of the big city. The town itself seems to be devoid of any life and the few residents they meet are very cold and unfriendly. Jessica's recovery, however, never gets off the ground as she begins to suspect that something is very wrong with the whole scenario. She begins to believe that the house they rented is haunted, the townspeople are zombies and that there's a vicious revenge-minded female vampire on the loose.moreless
