Liane, Jungle Goddess is a 1956 movie directed by Eduard van Borsody. In the film, a group of people are on an expedition in the African jungle. They come across tribal natives called Botos who capture one of the members of the group, Thoren (Hardy Kruger). Just as they are about to kill Thoren for wandering into their area, a wild woman comes out yelling and the tribesmen instantly release Thoren and let him go free. Thoren returns to the group and tell them about this woman with blond hair and white skin. They go back to find the woman and discover her name is Kiyahi but she is not able to communicate with them very well. When reports of this woman being found in the African jungle reach the newspapers in Europe, Theo Amelogen (Rudolf Forster) believes she may be his granddaughter, Liane. She was with her parents when the ship went down, but some evidence indicated that the girl may have survived. If she is Liane, she is about to inherit a fortune, if she can assimilate to the European lifestyle.moreless
