Lies and Whispers is a drama about a woman who finds love far away from home, but has her potential relationship put in peril by secrets of her own she digs up. Lies and Whispers stars character Dr. Lauren Graham (Gina Gershon), an American psychologist who goes to Prague for a conference. Once there she meets and eventually falls for local Czech writer, Jiri Kolmar (Rade Serbedzija). As they get to know each other throughout her time in Prague, she finds his family was subjected to the horrors of Nazi concentration camps for going against their government. While their relationship blossoms, Dr. Graham investigates her own family's background, however, some of the things she finds can cause problems in her new found relationship. Lies and Whispers is about the pain and suffering some people are forced to experience when they fall in love, as the person that seems to be their soulmate, can have skeletons in their closet.
