Life Without Dick, written and directed by Bix Skahill, is a 2002 comedy starring Sarah Jessica Parker as a woman on the run after accidentally shooting her boyfriend. Colleen Gibson (Sarah Jessica Parker) lives with the love of her life, private investigator Dick Rasmusson (Johnny Knoxville). When shady fortune-teller Madame Hugonaut (Teri Garr) tells Colleen that Dick is cheating on her, Colleen confronts him with a gun she believes isn't loaded. When the gun goes off and Dick is killed, mob hit-man Daniel Gallagher (Harry Connick, Jr.) decides to take credit for the crime, and help Colleen escape suspicion by disposing of the body. Hounded by Daniel's boss (Craig Ferguson) and pursued by two clumsy detectives (Geoffrey Blake and John Eddins), Colleen and Daniel fall in love as the situation spirals out of control.
