Linda Loveface for President begins with America in bad shape because the 1976 Presidential election is not going as expected. There is no headliner political candidate with the usual pedigree of a president, like a Harvard law degree or politcal experience. The candidate that the desperate population is turning to is porn star Lina Lovelace (as herself). She is the candidate for the Upright party, which began as a grassroots movement for change in Washington, D.C. Originally, the nomination was simply a joke, but once she got momentum behind her campaign, it appeared that no one could stop her ascension to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. Linda then goes on a barnstorming tour that takes her from small farming communities to large cities and earns even more adoration from the public starving for a change in the Capital. The momentum hits a wall when the senior politicians in Washington try and put a stop to her campaign through an assassin.moreless
