Lyon is a loyal member of the French Foreign Legion until he is informed of his brother's suspicious death. He attempts to take personal leave from his duties in the Foreign Legion, but his superiors refuse his request. With no other choice, Lyon decides to desert and stows away on a ship to America. He arrives on the American East Coast, but he is without the means to travel to his brother's family in Los Angeles, California. His problems are solved when he meets a street-fight organizer named Cynthia who offers to send him to California if he will participate in fights upon his arrival there. Lyon accepts the deal and he is immediately sent to Los Angeles where he meets his sister-in-law Helene Gaultier and his niece, Nicole Gaultier. He is then forced to fight in order to support the family and pay his debt to Cynthia.
