Lipstick is the story of supermodel Chris McCormick (Margaux Hemingway), a beautiful twenty-one year old woman who works for a top-selling lipstick company. Due to the tragic death of her parents in a car accident, Chris has taken the difficult job of caring for her fourteen-year old sister, Kathy (Mariel Hemingway). One fateful afternoon, Kathy invites her private school music teacher, Gordon Stuart (Chris Sarandon), to meet Chris during one of her photo shoots. Since Chris is busy during the shoot, she suggests that he stop by her apartment the next day so that she can hear him play an original musical piece. When Stuart arrives at the apartment, Chris becomes distracted while he plays his composition and he becomes enraged. He then ties Chris up and forcibly sodomizes her. Humiliated and outraged, Chris obtains the services of district attorney Carla Bondi (Anne Bancroft) to try to have Stuart convicted of rape; however, the jury acquits him of all charges with the help of his attorney, Nathan Cartright (Robin Gammell). Afterwards, Chris loses her modeling job and Kathy has to change schools. When Stuart then turns his sight on Kathy, Chris has to decide whether to take justice into her own hands, leading to a powerfully explosive conclusion.moreless
