Little Boy Lost is a drama film set during World War II that focuses on American war journalist Bill Wainwright (Bing Crosby). Bill is sent on assignment to Paris, France where he meets singer Lisa Garet (Nicole Maurey). The two fall in love, get married and have a son named Jean (Christian Fourcade). Unfortunately, Bill is assigned to cover the Battle of Dunkirk, forcing him to leave his wife and son behind. He soon learns that his wife was killed when she participates in the French Resistance and that his son has gone missing after a bombing. Upon his return to Paris, Bill learns that his son may be living in an orphanage. He visits an orphanage where he sees a boy that resembles Lisa, though he is unsure if the boy is Jean.
