Little Monsters is a 1989 family comedy directed by Richard Greenberg. The film follows Brian Stevenson (played by a young Fred Savage), a kid who has just moved into a new house with his parents and little brother (played by an even younger Ben Savage). One night he finds out his worst fear has come true...There actually is a monster under his bed! However the monster turns out to be a friendly and ditzy creature named Maurice (played by Howie Mandel). Maurice befriends Brian and soon takes him under his wing. Maurice brings Brian down into the world of monsters that exists below his bed and introduces him to all his monster friends. However Brian soon realizes that the monsters are being lorded over by a tyrant monster (played by Frank Whaley). It is now up to Maurice and Brian to stop this evil overlord! This film is full of wild monsters and excellent set design.
