Little Otik is a Czech drama film released in 2000. The film centers around Karel Hor''k (Jan Hartl) and Bo''ena Hor''kov'' (Veronika Zilkov''), a couple who are unable to have children. Karel decides to buy a home in the country. As he is fixing the house up, he digs up a tree stump that resembles a baby. He cleans up the stump and shows it to Bo''ena. Bo''ena treats the stump like a baby and even names it Otik. Eventually, Otik comes alive and has a large appetite. Otik begins to develop destructive behavior. For instance, Karel and Bo''ena come home one day to discover that Otik has eaten their cat. The couple begin to argue about Otik, with Karel saying they should kill it and Bo''ena saying it is their child and they cannot give up on it. When Otik's behavior becomes too much to handle, Karel and Bo''ena must make a decision on what to do about Otik.
