Livin' Large! is a comedic film about an aspiring news reporter who finds his big break comes with extra obstacles. Dexter Jackson (Terrence 'T.C.' Carson) is a young, hard working African American kid who takes care of deliveries for a local dry cleaner's, but his dream is to one day become an anchor for the local News 4 Atlanta television station. His break comes unexpectedly one day when he drives by a dangerous hostage situation where the reporter on the scene has been killed. Dexter grabs the camera, trots right into the dangerous scene, and convinces the gunman to surrender, making him an instant hero. Producer Kate Penndragin (Blanche Baker) offers Dexter a job as a reporter at the station, and the kid is on his way to making his dreams come true. But success comes with a price, and Dexter finds that Penndragin is intent on toning down his more urban tendencies in favor of seeming more "white." Dexter begins to lose sight of who he is, even doing news stories that seem to throw his community under the bus, but with his goal of being lead anchor in sight, just how far will the young ex-delivery boy go to reach the top? Michael Schultz directs this poignant, yet fun affair that reminds us to remember who you are.moreless
