London Blackout Murders follows the trail of a murderous ring of conspirators operating in London during the World War II bombing raids. Young Mary Tillett (Mary McLeod) seeks shelter in the home of Jack Rawlings (John Abbott) and soon begins to suspect him of a string of murders committed during blackouts. Victims are injected with poison during the blackouts. Tillett spots such a retractable needle in Rawlings pipe and she becomes uneasy around him. Rawlings is actually Dr. Vernon, who is still sought by authorities for the murder of his wife in 1925. He confesses to Tillett that he was once a doctor and would have the knowledge necessary to carry out the crimes, bringing her to the brink of hysteria. The plot thickens as Scotland Yard investigators begin questioning the associates of victims and the trail leads towards Rawlings. While Rawlings' partners help throw suspicion elsewhere, Rawlings' past comes back to haunt him as his true identity as Dr. Vernon is revealed.moreless
