Earl Crest (Joshua Jackson) has lived in Bennett, Texas all his life, but he dreams of bigger and better things. His fianc''e, Baby (Jaime King), wants to escape to the glamorous big city of Los Angeles, where she's certain she can become a successful TV star. Earl and Baby have scrimped and saved for the trip for a long time, but Baby's cousin, Junior (DJ Qualls), becomes a problem that neither of them were expecting. Junior and his friend, Tinker (Ryan Hurst), end up on the wrong side of a powerful drug lord and it's up to Earl to rescue them from an unpleasant fate.
