Lone Wolf McQuade is a 1983 action adventure film directed by Steve Carver. The film follows J.J. McQuade (Chuck Norris), a Texas Ranger who prefers to work alone. As the story begins, McQuade faces off against a band of Mexican horse thieves and emerges victorious in true Chuck Norris style. When his old friend, Dakota (L.Q. Jones) retires from the Rangers, however, McQuade is forced to take on a partner, Texas State Trooper Kayo Ramos (Robert Beltrain). While initially unwilling to work with Ramos, McQuade eventually relents when his daughter, Sally (Dana Kimmell) is injured after witnessing the hijacking of a US Army convoy. (Sally's fiance is killed in the attack.) Ramos and McQuade are joined by FBI Special Agent Jackson (Leon Isaac Kennedy). Soon after, the trio discovers that arms dealer Rawley Wilkes (David Carradine) is behind the hijacking and murder. In the final showdown, McQuade, Ramos and Jackson face Wilkes in a battle royale set in the Mexican Desert.moreless

This movie for a time was my Favorite Chuck Norris movie.Of,course I have only seen afew Chuck Norris's Movies. Now that i have seen more than afew over many years,i say this Movie is in my personnal Top 5 Chuck norris movie catagories. Before Walker Texas Ranger ever saw the light of day on Television, there was a Movie about a Texas Ranger played by Chuck Norris. When Walker first came to Television,my first thought was 'ah McQuade comes to television'.But,no.Walker would be a somewhat different character than McQuade.First his name of course.Second,Walker would have a cleaner look than McQuade.Third, and last,Walker is not,nor has never been married when the series began. That would change as the Series continues. However,McQuade, and Walker do share some things in common.Besides being Rangers, both have beards, both drive Vans, both are Masters of the Martial Arts, both prefer to work alone, but reluctantly would work with partners, and both are Mavericks.moreless
