Long Road Home concerns the arrival of 12 year old Seth (T.J. Lowther) who is sent to live with his grandparents after his mother dies. His grandfather is opposed to his moving in, claiming that he is not ready to raise another child. He was bitterly opposed to his mother's mixed marriage to his father, an American Indian, who died in combat during the Vietnam War when Seth was still an infant. Murdock (Michael Ansara) takes his anger for his daughter out on the boy with his cold behavior. Seth's grandmother provides the needed buffer between the two with her fondness for her grandson, but her presence doesn't last and she soon passes away herself. Will circumstance and time help bring Seth and Murdock together as a family? The film is directed and written by Craig Clyde. It features Sandra Shotwell, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Al Harrington, Craig Clyde, Joyce Cohen, Billy Oscar, K.C. Clyde, and Tara Taylor.
