The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring - Extended Edition is a 2001 fantasy film about a young Hobbit who goes on a long journey to destroy a magical ring. Frodo Baggins (Elijah Wood) is living a peaceful life at Bag End with his friends and uncle, Bilbo (Ian Holm). His life takes a dramatic turn when Bilbo leaves Bag End and entrusts Frodo with his magic ring. The wise wizard, Gandalf (Ian McKellen), discovers that Frodo's ring is actually the great Ring of Power created ages ago by the sinister Sauron (Sala Baker). At Gandalf's direction, Frodo and his friends, Sam (Sean Astin), Peregrin (Billy Boyd) and Merry (Dominic Monaghan) journey to the elvish home of Rivendell.
