Love and Debate is about Jordan Landa (Gina Philips), a girl living in Miami, Florida, who is caught somewhere between a woman and a teenager, and struggling with her dual identity as a Jew and Latino. Her family believes it is her duty to marry a Jewish man, preferably Latino as well, and have kids. However, Jordan has bigger dreams and develops a passion for debate. She becomes the star of the debate club and earns herself a scholarship to Harvard. However, college only complicates her life, as she finds herself distracted from debate by who she believes is her perfect match (Adam Rodriguez). Gina finds herself torn between debate and her feelings for him, and, while trying to figure out what to do, makes some questionable choices. Love and Debate is a coming-of-age story of a girl trying to break free of expectations and find herself, and the bumpy road that ensues.moreless
