Love Happy is a 1949 film about the Marx Brothers (themselves) and their wild adventures. The film begins with Harpo Marx stealing food to help his starving friends. On the lookout for anything, he finds and grabs a can of sardines. It turns out that the can of sardines is not really full of sardines, but rather it is packed with diamonds! Madame Egelichi (Ilona Massey) is one of the only other people to know that the can contains the precious gems, and she wants her hands on it. When Harpo takes the can, she follows him closely thinking he won't find the diamonds, allowing her to steal them easily. However, Harpo finds that the can really contains diamonds, and she will stop at nothing to retrieve them. She sends her wicked henchmen on a chase throughout New York City, but the Marx Brothers will not give up without a fight.moreless
