Love In Thoughts looks back on the last days of one of the main character's life as the survivors are questioned by police. Guenther (August Diehl), an openly gay man, Hilde (Anna Maria M''he), his sister, and Paul (Daniel Br''hl), a bi-curious poet who claims he is straight, escape the city for the weekend by going to Guenther and Hilde's parents' country house. Paul is rapidly falling in love with Hilde despite knowing she is not interested in any kind of commitment. Disillusioned with the world and its lack of possibilities, Guenther and Paul make a suicide pact. Guenther then throws a rave, fueled by drugs, sex and alcohol, to celebrate his last days on earth. During the party, which lasts about three days, Paul moves freely between the arms and beds of Guenther and Hilde. It becomes clear that both siblings are developing real feelings for Paul and sharing his affection is putting a significant strain on their brother-sister relationship. As the party and the weekend draw to an end the trio return to their lives in the city. Upon arriving at their parents' apartment there, gun shots are fired and not everyone will survive. All that is left is discovering what really happened and who is ultimately responsible.moreless
