Lupo! is a light hearted comedic tale about a down on his luck cart driver. Lupo (Yehuda Barkan) is a simple junk dealer in Tel Aviv that seems to always have a smile on his face. However, when, almost simultaneously, his trusted cart horse is killed, his modest home is scheduled to be bulldozed, and his daughter threatens to marry into wealth and leave him forever, Lupo's smile goes away and is in danger of disappearing forever. But he keeps his cool, and charm, intact, and does his best to muster up the wit to not only avoid losing his home but also impress his daughter's in-laws to be. However, if Lupo didn't already have enough on his plate, when he becomes the object of an old widow's affection, his problems go from crazy to downright silly. Menahem Golan directs this off the wall comedy showing that every situation in life, even the most ridiculous, can be overcome.
