Lure of the Swamp is a film in which the lives of two men collide on the Florida wetlands, producing a story of intrigue, lust, and betrayal. Simon Lewt (Marshall Thompson), a boatman who guides tourists through the swamp, encounters James Lister (Willard Parker), a mysterious man who pays Lewt to ferry him deep into the marsh where Lister hides money stolen from a recent bank heist. After the men part, Lister is murdered, and Lewt is left to navigate a dark world of duplicitous characters, including the wily Steggins (Leo Gordon) and lascivious Henry Bliss (Jack Elam) who are both separately searching for the hidden money and might just eliminate anyone who stands in their way. To complicate matters even more, the beguiling Cora (Joan Vohs) also appears and Lewt begins to fall in love with her in the middle of his own journey to find Lester's secret loot. As the action builds to its dramatic and stunning conclusion, will Lewt find the money without losing his life?moreless
