Macon County Line is a 1974 action thriller about two brothers falsely accused of murder. Directed by Richard Compton, the movies is based on actual events that took place in 1953 Georgia. Just a few days from reporting for military duty, brothers Chris Dixon (Alan Vint) and Wayne Dixon (Jesse Vint) spend the remainder of their civilian life down South partying hard and chasing women. After picking up a pretty hitchhiker, Jenny Scott (Cheryl Waters), car troubles force them to stay the night in a Macon barn. Just about this time, two murderous drifters roll into town and murder the town sheriff's (Max Baer) family member. A prior run in with the sheriff lets the brothers know they are not welcome in the town. After finding Chris, Wayne and Jenny in the barn on his property, the sheriff automatically assumes they are the killers. All hell breaks loose as the brothers must outrun the sheriff and prove their innocence.
