Mad Cowgirl is a 2006 romantic horror drama directed by Gregory Hatanka. In the film, Therese (Sarah Lassez) is a divorced health inspector, who carries on casual sexual affairs with several people, loves kung-fu movies and has a complicated relationship with her brother, Thierry (James Duval). Thierry is a meat importer and often supplies Therese with delicious red meat that she loves. When strange things begin to happen to Therese, her life begins to spin out-of-control. She thinks that she is beginning to see and hear things. Slowly she comes to realize that she may be losing her mind or somebody is poisoning her. The only person she fears may try to harm her is her brother Thierry. She surmises that her brother hates her enough to give her meat tainted with mad cow disease, so she sets off to prove herself right. Did Thierry poison Therese, or is she simply losing her mind?
