Mad Dogs is a science fiction thriller taking place in a bleak near-future London. The population of England's dogs are dying of the mysterious "Mad Dog Disease," resulting in a ban against canines across the nation. Recently released mental patient Rabbie Burns (Ian Fraiser) is barely back on the streets when the symptoms of his schizophrenia begin manifesting in frightening ways. He begins hearing voices warning him that the entire species is under dire peril from a race of alien pig-like monsters somehow responsible for the canine plague. Given a deadline of 36 hours to prevent the end of the world by the "Supreme being" (Jonathan Pryce), Rabbie looks for help from his sometimes-girlfriend, Narendra (Indira Varma), and best friend, Jimmy (Paul Barber), the only two people on the planet who believe his wild tales. With time running out for the entire human race, these three unlikely allies embark on a quest against unfathomable forces and Rabbie's questionable sanity.
