2008
Rating:
PG-13
Made of Honor is a romantic comedy film directed by Paul Weiland that follows the long-time friendship of Tom (Patrick Dempsey) and Hannah (Michelle Monaghan), starting from their unusual first meeting as Tom, dressed as Bill Clinton, confuses an asleep Hannah for his date, Monica. Despite that awkward beginning, ten years later Tom and Hannah keep a Sunday date with each other. Tom has turned into a wealthy womanizer with a different girl every night, spurned from commitment because of the high number of marriages of his father (Sydney Pollack). Hannah on the other hand is a cynic but enjoys her single life while focusing on her work with an art museum and being the only girl that Tom would ever break his ‘one day’ rule for. When Hannah is sent to Scotland for a few months for work, Tom realizes just how much she means to him while she seemingly realized the loveliness of some Scotsman, Colin (Kevin McKidd). With Hannah engaged to Colin and Tom her maid of honor, he tries his best to convince her he’s the one she wants and needs while also still helping her plan her wedding.moreless
