When Miss Clavel's (voice of Stevie Vallance) illness triggers Madeliue to reminisce about her late parents, she starts to wish that she had a real family. And when her Uncle Horst (Jason Alexander) comes to visit from Vienna, it seems that her wish might really come true! He wants to adopt Madeline and take her home with him, where she can attend a fancy finishing school! But Madeline soon comes to learn that sometimes what one has is the vest thing of all and that families don't have to be conventional to be real.
