Madeline: Meet Me in Paris is really a trio of animated vignettes starring the beguiling French school girl with the brunette bob and her beloved boarding school head mistress. Their adventures are based on the books written and illustrated by Ludwig Bemelman. Madeline at the Eiffel Tower, Madeline at the Louvre and Madeline at Cannes comprise the short tales that make up this children's feature. Award-winning stage and screen actor Christopher Plummer supplies the narration, which includes the infectiously catchy verse that makes the Madeline book series such a perennial favorite. Prim and proper school teacher Miss Clavel leads her young charges on an educational tour of the most iconic Parisian attractions, including the landmark tower and the famous art museum. Phrases in French, translated into English, are scattered throughout the stories, giving young audiences an introduction to another language and a chance to learn a few words in French.
