Madigan's Millions is a comedy directed by Stanley Praeger. The movie marks the first film performance by Dustin Hoffman. Jason Fister (Dustin Hoffman) works for the Internal Revenue Service and is flown to Rome, Italy, to find the location of gangster Mike Madigan's million dollar fortune. Targeted because of the money, Madigan was killed shortly after arriving in Italy, making it hard for Jason to find any leads to pursue. The local police also make things difficult, promising to throw Fister in jail if he continues looking for the money. Jason then meets Vicky Shaw, a woman who he thinks was Madigan's girlfriend but is actually his daughter. After spending the night on Vicky's couch, he discovers that Madigan's money is being kept hidden by Vicky's young son. Italian criminals break into the Shaw home to retrieve the money, and the events that follow their violent actions reveal the true extent of Jason and Vicky's feelings for one another.
