Major League 3: Back to the Minors is the third installment in the Major League franchise. The film centers on aging, minor league pitcher Gus Cantrell (Scott Bakula). Cantrell decides to put off retirement after he is asked to manage the Minnesota Twins AAA club at the request of new owner, Roger Dorn (Corbin Bernsen). Cantrell is tasked with assembling a bunch of lovable, inept misfits into a cohesive winning team. The plot thickens after Cantrell finds himself in a challenge with the arrogant Twins manager, Leonard Huff (Ted McGinley). Cantrell is determined to do the impossible and show that his team of oddballs can compete with the big leaguers. With no shortage of characters, including a pitcher best known for throwing the slowest fastball in the majors, and a ballet dancer turned baseball player, the third installment maintains the irreverent humor that has endured the series to fans for years.
