Makin' Baby is a 2002 African American romantic comedy film by director Paul Wynne, starring Aaron D. Spears, Portia Realer, and Sheila Lussier. Michael (Aaron D. Spears) is a young black man with a beautiful wife, Alicia (Portia Realer), and a big dream: to become a hip-hop star. Unfortuantely, his hip-hop aspirations and his marriage do not exactly line up'to keep his wife happy, he would need to agree to have a child and become a father. To make it as a hip-hop star, however, he would have to stay loose and free, following the way of the hip-hop star who has just discovered him and is ready to catapult him into a life of fame and fortune. So what triumphs? Will Michael choose riches, notoriety, and all the bling in the world, or will he choose to settle down as a family man?
