Malone is a 1987 action movie directed by Harley Cokeliss. It was written by Christopher Frank and is based on a novel by William P. Wingate. Richard Malone (Burt Reynolds) is a former CIA assassin who struggles to remain retired. While keeping a low profile from his former employers Malone finds himself stranded in a small town in Wyoming. While waiting for his car to be repaired he befriends a local farmer and his daughter. Malone learns that the town is being control by a local millionaire, Charles Delaney (Cliff Robertson) through intimidation. Delaney plans to drive local farmers from their land to clear the way for redevelopment. With the help of hired thugs, and the corrupt local sheriff Delaney is close to achieving his goal. All that stands in his way is one highly trained former CIA assassin looking for redemption. However, the situation is more complicated then it at first appears to be. Is the plot really about a commercial land-grab? Or has Malone stumbled on something far more sinister?moreless
