Man in the Mirror is a morality tale about a group of people struggling to survive on the streets of New York City in the 1970s, an era of unprecedented greed and corruption in the financial district they call home. The film follows Apple Joe (Michael Dunn), a former university professor who has decided to abandon his place in society in hopes of creating a more meaningful life for himself. After becoming a street vendor at the foot of the World Trade Center, Apple Joe struggles with the painful memories of a troubled past he wishes he could leave behind, but his encounters with the homeless, runaways and other lost youth offer him the opportunity to share his wisdom and improve the lives of others. Will he find redemption through his new relationships, or will the misery of his newfound world derail his only chance at personal growth?
