Rating:
PG-13
Man of the Year is a (2006) romantic comedy, directed by Barry Levinson and produced by Universal Pictures and Morgan Creek Productions. The movie is based upon the story of Tobby Dobbs (Robin Williams), who is the host of a comedy-centered political talk show. The real fun begins when he decides to run for President as an independent candidate. Somehow, after some entertaining campaign gaffes and a volatile debate, he manages to win the election. However, what is unknown to everyone is that his victory was due to a glitch in the voting system's computer rather than his own brilliance as a candidate. The company behind the voting system, Delacroy, does not wish for anyone to know about this glitch, for it may put their company out of business. Unfortunately one of their employees, Eleanor Green (Laura Linney), does not think hiding the evidence is ethical, and she believes Dobbs must know the truth. Will she be able to get to him, or will the company she works for silence her?moreless
