Man on Fire is an action that focuses on one man's adventure as he tries to find out what happened to a kidnapped girl. John Creasy (Denzel Washington) is a former Marine who travels to Mexico and decides to become a bodyguard. Meanwhile, Samuel Ramos (Marc Anthony) is a businessman who wants a bodyguard to protect his daughter, Pita (Dakota Fanning), from being kidnapped. Samuel hires John to become Pita's bodyguard. John becomes very close to Pita, even going to her swim competitions and having deep conversations One day, as John is waiting for Pita to finish a piano lesson, she is kidnapped. John tries to protect her, but he is shot multiple times. Samuel gets a call from the kidnappers and agrees to give them ten million dollars upon the safe return of his daughter. However, the exchange does not go as planned, as the money is stolen by another group. It is assumed that Pita is killed, and when John is released from the hospital, he vows to find out who kidnapped her and what happened. What he finds out is truly shocking.moreless

This is a time-tested movie con, but rarely has it been deployed so contemptibly.
