Rating:

Manchu Eagle Murder Caper Mystery is a comedy way ahead of its time, parodying detective movies and film-noir, in which an amateur detective Malcolm (Gabriel Dell) is hired by a mail-order to investigate the killing of a milkman and find the killer. Dell exhibits dry-wit and elegant comic timing as the trailer park bumbling detective who in his part-time is conducting an experiment to make chickens lay colored eggs. The comedy style here is a mixture of some good old slapstick as well as some dark and delicate humor entailing animal sex, suicide, incest and drugs. However since the movie is funnily ridiculous, one does not get offended by them and may even find the scenes stylishly done! Some memorable scenes of the movie are: a most bizarre gunfight, scenes of a pill-popping lecherous doctor, Dr. Simpson, played by Will Gee, and the scenes of Huntz Hall and Jackie Coogan as a pair of likeable bumbling detectives. A funny movie not to be missed, Manchu Eagle Murder Caper Mystery stars Gabriel Dell, Jackie Coogan and Huntz Hall, and is directed by Dean Hargrove.moreless
