Mara of the Wilderness is a 1965 film directed by Frank McDonald. It tells the impressive story of Mara Wade (Lori Saunders), a young girl who loses her parents at an isolated research base in Alaska. She becomes a child of nature when a pack of white wolves take her into custody and raise her until she is old enough to take care of herself. Some years later, an Alaskan Ranger, Ken Williams (Adam West), finds the girl in the woods and is astonished by her beauty and wildness. His intentions to take care of the girl and reintroduce her to the society are interrupted by a cruel trapper, Jarnagan (Theodore Marcuse), who is out to capture her and display her as a wild freak creature in a show. Mara has to use the help of Ranger Williams and her friends from the woods if she is to emerge on the winning side in this fight for her freedom.
