Marilyn Manson: Guns, God and Government - Live In L.A. is a concert film of Marilyn Manson, an American rock band from Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. This film was released in 2002 and chronicles their worldwide Guns, God and Government tour, which took place from 2000 to 2001. This tour promoted their studio LP entitled Holy Wood (In the Shadow of the Valley of Death), which was released in 2001. The band also performs songs from other albums such as Antichrist Superstar, Mechanical Animals, Portrait of an American Family and Smells Like Children. The film has a consistent music track, although the video portion of the film includes footage from various performances in Europe, Japan, Russia and the United States. It documents the Marilyn Manson's use of extravagant costumes, pyrotechnics and religious props during their live performances. This film includes a short entitled "Death Parade," which features backstage footage with cameos from Eminem, Joey Jordison and Ozzy Osbourne.moreless
