Mars Needs Women is a 1967 science-fiction film directed by Larry Buchanan. In the film, a military decoding center in Houston keeps receiving the same coded message, "Mars Needs Women." The technicians and scientists are confused by the message and do not understand what it could mean. When a seemingly human creature, Dop (Tommy Kirk) arrives at the decoding center, he tries to explain his mission to them. Despite Dop's insistence that his mission is a friendly one, the US authorities view him as hostile and make him leave the center. Refusing to give up, Dop and four other creatures decide they will go forward with their mission, but try to stay off the Earthlings radar. Dop and his cohorts spend the next few days meeting women on Earth. When they are close to completing their mission, they realize that others are on to them. Will Dop and his crew complete their mission, or will they be sent home before it is complete?moreless
