Movie Summary

Richard Donner

Based on the 1950's TV series which starred James Garner.. Maverick, is a gambler who has had a string of bad luck, while trying to raise money to get into a big poker tournament. Annabelle Bransford, a con woman and gambler, is also trying to get enough money to get into the big game. Marshal Zane Cooper is also part of the story and is not the lawman that he represents himself as. After many cons, switch backs, and outright stealing they all make it to the tournament. Once the poker tournament starts the excitement builds to see who wins the tournament, and who ends up with the money. There are cameos by country singers and other big stars, that keep you guessing who you will see next, and what surprises you will experience.
