Max Lucado's Hermie & Friends: Flo: The Lyin' Fly is an animated children's movie about Flo (Vicki Lawrence). Flo is a fly that develops a bad habit. Flo likes receiving attention from her friends, and she gets it from telling fibs about things, making others believe them as the truth. Her friends realize that she is not telling the truth, and they decide not to listen to what she says. Hermie and her friends take it upon themselves to teach the lying fly honesty. They stress the importance of telling the truth to Flo if she wants people to ever take her seriously. Even when Flo begins telling the truth again, her friends still are reluctant to believe her. She must build up their trust if they are ever to believe her again. This animated movie teaches children valuable lessons such as telling the truth, while still providing entertainment with the likable characters.
