Max Rules, written and directed by Robert Burke in 2005, is an entertaining, action-packed children's movie about young detectives. Max Brinkley (Andrew C. Maier) is the cool guy in school who all the children admire and want to be like. Max lives with Uncle Rick (William B. Davis), who is a government scientist, giving him exclusive access to all kinds of high-tech, modern technology. With his two best friends, Jessica Taylor (Jennifer Lancheros) and Scott Sanders (Spencer Esau), Max spies on people, performs elaborate pranks, does martial arts, and throws food fights. Their childish existence abruptly changes when they learn the secret location of a stolen FBI microchip with important files encrypted on it. Max, Jessica, and Scott must use their espionage skills to find the file, heading off on an exciting, real-life adventure. This family friendly, humorous flick is sure to provide entertainment for both the young and old alike.
