Me, Myself & Irene is a 2000 American comedy film by directors Peter Farrelly and Bobby Farrelly, starring Jim Carrey and Renee Zellweger. Carrey is a Rhode Island state trooper, Charlie Baileygates, with some serious issues. After years of suppressed emotions and pent-up rage, Charile starts to suffer from psychotic breakdowns, in which he loses himself to a second personality by the name of Hank. Hank is rude and uncontrollable, so Charlie starts a psychiatrist-prescribed medication regimen and moves on with his life. But when, while escorting a woman, Irene Waters (Renee Zellweger), to Massena, New York for an alleged hit-and-run offence, circumstances lead to Charlie being separated from his medication indefinitely, things start to spiral out of control. As the pair race hit men and US police forces across the United States, the big question is: what will Hank do next? Full of signature Farrelly brother humor, compounded by Carrey's comedic presentation, Me, Myself & Irene is a comic delight.moreless
