Meet the Deedles is a 1998 family comedy directed by Steve Boyum. When twin surfers dudes, Phil (Paul Walker) and Stew Deedle (Steve Van Wormer), are thrown out of school for truancy, their father, Elton (Eric Braeden) sends them for the summer in Wyoming for punishment. Arriving from Hawaii, the two surfers emerge from the plane in Hawaiian shirts and flip-flops, only to be met by failed summer camp director, Major Flower (M.C. Gainey). While driving them into the back country, Flower becomes distracted describing their upcoming survival training and crashes the truck into the river. Believing the boys are dead, Flower runs off into the woods, leaving the two boys behind. Eventually, Phil and Stew wake up, finding themselves cold, wet, and abandoned in the middle of Yellowstone National Park. Putting on the only dry clothes available, sweatshirts with the names "Mo" and "Mel" written on them, Phil and Stew inadvertently assume the identities of two rookie rangers, arriving for duty at Yellowstone. This sets in motion a wild series of adventures as the two attempt to thwart the plans of an evil ex-ranger intent on destroying Old Faithful.moreless
