Meet the Fockers is a 2004 American comedy film by director Jay Roach, starring Ben Stiller, Robert De Niro, Dustin Hoffman, Barbra Streisand, Blythe Danner, Teri Polo, and Owen Wilson. Male nurse Gaylord "Greg" Focker (Ben Stiller) is in love with his beautiful fianc'e, Pam Byrnes (Teri Polo). When it turns out that the couple is expecting a child, the upcoming wedding becomes all the more urgent! So off they go on a trip to introduce their parents to one another. That, however, is easier said than done. Pam's father, Jack Byrnes (Robert De Niro) is an uptight, controlling military man and he and his prim, proper wife Dina (Blythe Danner) are pretty much the exact opposite of Greg's alternative, zany parents. Roz (Barbra Streisand) is a sex therapist and his father, Bernie (Dustin Hoffman), is an old hippie. One thing is for sure'things will get awkward. Will Greg and Pam's relationship make it through the craziness? Though Meet the Fockers received mixed critical reviews, the film was a huge commercial success.
